Both Delta cams went offline at about 8 am. I checked the BC Hydro power outages page, and there is an outage in what I think is that general area of Delta. My guess is that they just took a bigger block off-line to fix whatever was down earlier, and they're anticipating a return to service by 8:30 am, so I'll check the cams again then and notify Ken and Richard if the cams are still down once the power is back up.
8:30 am
Just checked the BC Hydro outages page again - and they're reporting a new outage on part of 72nd Street in Delta - which is where OWL is located, and which is likely where the nest is located. They have 10:30 am as an estimate for when power will be restored.

Delta Cam is back on but the wide angle nest view has slipped and you can't see the nest! The wind is really howling there!

Thanks, Ken, for fixing the WA cam so we can see the Delta OWL nest again. Now all we need is another visit by the eagles!

The brief outage today (Feb 12, 2011) was due to some work in the equipment rack where this server is housed.
As of the end of this outage, the address pool that this server is in should be correctly routed, so I'm very interested in hearing of any "slow" connections now.
Please post to this topic.
At the same time, please let me know if you have any other traffic on your local link including:
Watching any cameras (let me know how many you are watching simultaneously)
Listening to internet radio
Watching any other video (YouTube, Netflix, etc.)
Uploading files (photos, videos, etc.) to other sites or this one (on another screen or from another computer)
This includes other people in your home.
In addition, please let me know if your connection is wired or wireless in your home - the computer you are using as well as any others that are active at the time you experience slow response.
thanks
richard

So much better, thank you Richard!
I have a PC with oodles of room on it - wired!
There are two nest cams open - and an article on the internet to read - and this Window has three tabs in use - each with a forum!
I have Messenger in use, Minimised - and OE6
Oh - and Photofiltre ready but minimised!

Hi Richard
The HWF website is loading just as slow as it always has at my end.
The number of cameras I have open--- or having nothing but the HWF forum open -- doesn't seem to make any difference in speed.
I've tried two of my computers, wired and wireless, and I get the exact same problem on both.
I'm still getting the partially loaded index page occasionally and have had to refresh each time. --- 4 times today to be exact.
I'm using Mac computers and the operating systems are all up to date. No firewall turned on.
The slow connection speed only ever affects the HWF site and nothing else.
Is this still a Telus IP issue ?

Hi Richard,
Whoa, I was immediately here when I clicked my 'Forum bookmark.
Still a tad slow to post this reply.
One wired computer and Yahoo mail open.
Thanks
