Both adults in the nest. Chip and Dale are both up looking all around, but it doesn't seem to be a feeding. Alvin still looking like an egg. (I agree it's likely the first egg and not at all likely to hatch.)

One of the adults has left, and the other is tucking the chicks in for brooding.

One of the adults was up, shading the chicks. The chicks were trying to reach up very high, and I think they were pointing out it was time for afternoon tea. Apparently the other adult heard them as he did arrive and there's now a feeding going on! Almost time for me to head home, so I'll try to add pictures later.

5:00pm MDT

I am home, just in time to see Dad land with a fish, Mom now feeding the eager eaters. Chip and Dale, a chippendale furniture ad? Green LOL

Read Lisa of Calgary Zoo's blog this am and have been laughing to myself all day. Some one at the zoo finally figured out what the black fabric thing is. One time I thought it might be one of those knee pads that construction crews use, but too many strappy parts. Can you guess? OK a black underwire bra!!!!!

Where oh where did Dad Osprey find that. Is he a closet Peeping Tom? Rolling on floor laughing

Okay, I got it --- Dad brought it home for his "Trophy" wife. She always seems to be into how she looks giggle

WEATHER: Chance of Afternoon Thundershowers, High 24C

6:06 am
As I turned on the camera Mom got up and began flapping her wings and the legs of an intruder appeared above the camera.
The intruder then flew out over the water. I'm almost certain it was the third adult by the looks of it.
Sorry I wasn't quick enough to get a screencap.

6:08 am
Mom is standing on the nest.
Both Chip and Dale are perky this morning.

6:32 am
I left the computer for no more than a moment and came back to seeing Dad on the nest.
He's doing a few nestorations while Mom brood.

Out Out to work for the day.

I just took a peek into the nest - and it looks as if Dad just arrived with a fish. The chicks are waiting not quite patiently while Mom prepares it. Smile

And now she's feeding the chicks while Dad looks on.

Feeding continues. They are so cute, moving back and forth in unison following Mom's beak.

Dad was just stretching and readjusting his position in the third pic - included it because I liked the look of his wings.

9:04 am
Dad just left with the uneaten fish, perhaps to have his breakfast.
