Oh how sweet life is Wub

1:00 pm
At the moment I can't see a thing while Mom is feeding the chick.

1:13 pm
Mom finally moved.
It looks like one chick and two eggs still on the nest unless I'm mistaking a piece of eggshell for a second egg.

1:15 pm
Mom flew off leaving Dad on the nest.
Dad is standing over the chick and I'm almost certain now there are still two eggs.

Both white eggs still whole. We still have a chance for one of the white ones to hatch Clapping Oh how I wish for a close up. But I am so glad to have the cam back up, I will not complain too loudly.

I had the same thought about the close up's BET. I'm too afraid that if they try to zoom in the camera will break down again.

It must have been the dark egg that finally hatched.

Mom has arrived. Dad certainly got off easy when it came to brooding giggle

I watched the feeding, there are still two eggs, but remember the last egg was laid 3 days after the second, on 5/15, so just 37 days today, maybe a hatch by tomorrowGrin

The egg and the chipmunk

I love the back view of the new O'lets. The stripe up their backs always brings chipmunks to my mind. I caught this view as Mom was arranging the egg. Maybe wishful thinking but my eyes tell me their is some interesting lines on this egg.

Dad arrived on the nest - no fish. Mom stood up and backed up. They both stood and looked at their new one and then at the camera! Grin Smile!

Dad brought a fish - the headless variety.

Mom stood and took the fish. With her back to the cam, she fed Uno. Couldn't see anything as Mom's body in the way. Meanwhile, Dad stood on the far side of the nest watching. It didn't take long for the feeding to be over. Uno is a wee thing. Maybe three/four bites and he's full? Mom stood back and Dad edged his way around the nest. Towards the fish. Mom did not give ground, the fish was next to her foot. Finally Dad reached in and grabbed it with his beak. Then switched it to his talons and took off to feast elsewhere. Mom resumed brooding. She seems to have a bit of trouble getting her foot to the side of the O'let, but she's doing well.
