Mom did return. Dad was a bit reluctant to give up his spot, but did. He flew off and Mom settled right down, not even really checking the eggs

Dad was doing egg duty when he suddenly decided to leave. Mom flew in within a few seconds. Eggs? no obvious change that I can see.

WEATHER Mainly Cloudy, High 17C

5:23 am
Mom is sitting on the eggs. She's watching the area toward the cam and out over the water.
She squirms and shifts side to side but hasn't got off the eggs for us to take a look. Fingers crossed that we have a chick today now that the rain has stopped.

I worry about the eggs this year. The weather has been colder and wetter than usual since the osprey returned. I'm sure it takes a toll on the eggs over time.

5:37 am
Mom is up rolling the eggs around -- They're all still eggs.
I missed getting a good s'cap -- ooops. This one will have to do.

Sure as heck I'll miss a hatch today --- Out to work Evil

Dad just arrived with a fish, which Mom promptly grabbed and took off to eat. Dad is now incubating the eggs.

Both parents on the nest.

There have been a couple of swaps since I've been watching - seems more frequent than usual, though that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

The adult that just arrived left again.

10:35am MDT

Since I have had the cam up this morning, both parents are staying close to the nest.

Dad took over brooding at 9:52 and Mom left. Shortly thereafter, Mom came back, fiddled around at the back edge of the nest and then left again. Dad made several changes to his position on the eggs during this time also. At 10:27am Mom came back and Dad took off.

About 5 minutes later Dad was back on the nest again. Just standing around - occasionally adjusting sticks

He took off again at 10:35am. In the past 10 minutes Mom has repositioned herself twice.

Dad just arrived with a fish. Mom took the fish and went off to have a quiet lunch. Dad took over incubating.
