8:30pm MDT

They just took the cam Off Air. I am wondering if they are going to continue a limited time of streaming. JKR, said they weren't on this am. (I am never on line at that time Roll eyes too early, so I count on JK's observations to know what is happening) If they are trying to save money - well who can blame them, since - I am guessing - the cost is out of the Zoo and EnMax's pocket. I have never seen a request for a donation. I just hope that they don't cut too much time out of the live stream.

Mom is on the nest incubating the eggs. (Hope I have the right adult --- if not please correct me).

11:38 am
Dad arrives.
Mom gets up and the two of them peck about on the nest. Mom moves a few small sticks.

11:40 am
Mom flies off and Dad takes over incubating.

You got it right Judy. Dad's back skull marking has a small break in the color. It looks like a stylized bird with the head a bit separate. Mom's marking looks like a delta wing fighter plane.

The nest was rather quite after I logged in. Mom was brooding. Dad landed with a big stick to add to the nest (wish he would find some grass clippings or the like for the bowl - the bowl is rather thinly covered)

As Dad was arranging his new stick, Mom stood up. A bit of a wing collision Grin

Mom stood to the front of the nest - out of Dad's way - for a bit as Dad arranged his new stick to his satisfaction and then moved a few others about. He flew off and Mom went back to brooding

8:30 and still on air. Clapping

At 8:25pm Dad made a rough landing - struggled to maintain his balance - wings flapping every which way.

As he moved forward the reason appeared. A strange hard white hard object, clutched in his left foot - his foot turned backwards and strained as he tried to bring the object forward

Mom, who had been quietly brooding got up to take the object. Maybe she thought it was a fish. She did a lot of wing flaps to gain her balance as she struggled to take the object from Dad. Perhaps there was some strong wind gusts at that time. She did get the object. Then left it where it was and flew off the nest

Dad took over brooding.

The larger image transmission is functioning again. A bit jerky, but it is streaming

Dad was on the nest brooding when he suddenly took off. Mom landed to take over closely followed by a nosy black bird

Dad flew back in with a new object for the nest.

My guess is it is a large piece of bark

Dad has left and returned several times in the past 20 minutes. Doesn't seem to be alarmed about anything. Just flitting about!

May 20 3:00pm MDT

I logged on at about 10:00am. It has been a quiet "setting on eggs" day. A few nest exchanges.

A little after noon, Mom was brooding. Dad flew in for a visit - no fish, no nest material, just stood about. Mom got up to let Dad take over, but he didn't. Instead, he mounted Mom ( claim only, no mating) and then flew off.

I rather liked the wings in this image

Just before 3:00pm Dad flew in, Mom stood up and stretched her wings, waited a moment and flew off. Dad did take over nest duty this time

Dad lands with a dark headless fish. I wonder, (not being a fisherwoman I don't know fish identities) is this a brown trout?
