There were Trumpeter Swans Along the river shores also, so very beautiful!!!

Elle, Scott, Gord, and I did attend David's very interesting Eagle Talk and checked out Sonsie and Jessie. Sonsie the Bald Eagle was rescued as a Juvenile and Jessie was also a rescued owl.

The surrounding mountains are breath taking and for me very special since I come from the Illinois plains.

It was an adventure of a life time that will always be at the top of all adventures I will take in my lifetime. Thanks to all my Canadian Friends for making it so very special.


This is a video I recorded at the Harrison Flats area along the Harrison River. It was sunny early morning and only Gord and I were there in Eagles Heaven. You can increase the quality of the video by clicking on the knob in the right lower of the screen and clicking on HD.

I made this recording at Goldstream on Vancouver Island. I arrived to find hundreds of Thayer Gulls feeding on the Salmon that were dieing after spawning. You can increase the quality of the video by clicking on the knob in the right lower of the screen and clicking on 720 HD.

Linda, incredible coverage of the FVBEV both in pictures, video and commentary! :thumrht: You got some wonderful shots and the video is so true to what went on, comings and goings, the sounds. I'm so not used to hearing swan talk, coming from mute swan country before moving to BC! I'm sorry we missed meeting you and Gord, apparently spent our 1 night at the same hotel as you.

Thank you for your comments, it was truly one of the most beautiful areas I have ever seen. The number of Bald Eagles was beyond description, that is why I took the video to show the beauty of the area and population of Bald Eagles. The Trumpeter Swans were so gorgeous too on the water and as they flew in and out.

I also have enjoyed seeing others photos from the festival, thank you all for sharing them. It was so neat to meet everyone that we were able to see at the festival. I do hope also to make it back again in the future.:hello:
