Thank you Marg and Sandra for the wonderful memories. It is truly a magical place to be, even if the weather is cool and rainy. Sandra, I bet it was swans you saw on the way out. I don't know if they still do it but I seem to remember that at the first Festival I attended they did a count of the trumpter swans as well as the eagles.

I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

wave Hi Terry! Nice to know you now. The information booklet I have says that volunteers have been counting the eagles, swans and great blues with counts from 2007. Last year on festival weekend they counted 2725 eagles, 208 swans, way down from 509 in 2008, and only 6 great blues.

I forgot to add that Christian arrived during David's talk on Sat. His book, freshly hot off the press was available and what outstanding pictures it contains! Superb work Christian and Tina!!!

Good Afternoon..
AnniesKatz, Raining22, Irisheyes, Stim and Sunshine Coast.. You are all very welcome and glad you enjoyed it.

Stim, your pictures are lovely, looks like you all were having a great time!

Sunshine Coast (Marg) Wonderful Images!

When we were out there on Sunday, we took a short trip over to Harrison Hot Springs.. I noticed there were not many Swans, Trumpeter or otherwise, I usually see them near Deroche.. however there was a farmers field on the way out to Harrison and I counted close to 50 Swans there.
