I had a hunch I'd miss the live show. Thanks to all who were here. I'll be back to go through all the posts later. I just know the coverage will be superb. How can I possibly miss them as much as I do? Wub Wub

Thanks so much, mochamama!

My videos are taking longer to process - and they are unedited, so there are lulls in the action.

Video Camera Goslings Set Forth - Part 1 (11 minutes)

Part 1 has some milling about on the nest before they go, the jump, and the first look at the chicks on the ground.

Video Camera Goslings Set Forth - Part 2 (11 minutes)

The first half of part 2 shows the last chick catching up and the family setting out towards the lake; the last part is mostly scenery as the zoomer looks for the geese - which are not easy to find as there are leafy branches blocking the cam's view of part of the path to the water.

Thank You JudyB and mochamama22 for such prompt videos. Bravo

I watched mocha's video but didn't see number 6. I will watch Judy B's now and see if I can find the straggler.

Amazing work!

I wonder if it was the first chick out of the nest that took so long to recover. He/she kind of slipped out with Clyde.

2:25pm...............Thanks JudyB, mocha and BirdEWatcher for the videos! It was so nice to see the whole sequence as it happened. When one is doing s'caps there is a lot of stopping and starting and it was great to see the parts I missed! Thank You

Wow! What an interesting afternoon.....I watched them for hours - then when Dad came and kept Mom company, it was hard to tell what they were doing. Somehow, the decision was made to make the escape - they picked the spot - went back to tell the kids and Mom went for it. Dad followed and the first little one seemed to get caught right behind the moving leaves - maybe that's the one making a slow recovery. The huddle with the other 5 near the eggs and then the race to the jump. So entertaining...Thanks to all to make this possible.
