Today was the last day of the cam for the 2012 season. Sad I was busy most of the day but late in the afternoon managed to get a few last s'caps between 4:15 and 5:45 PM nest time. I was a little disappointed that the person in charge of the cam didn't give us some last close-ups but such is life.

Two shots of Indy in her favorite tree.

some loud trilling---and away he went. We were left with an empty nest

"bluemeanie" came back from the last birdshow for the season at Dollywood to turn the cam off and low and behold, Frank came back to the nest and they zoomed in on him. What a beautiful parting shot for all of us!! Wub

Thank you Mary,

I will be stopping in here from time to time in the 2013 season. These eagles are a treat - similar to Savannah and Derek at CRC. Thank you so much for your posts!
hugs,

I have two quick notes from AEF----

Al will be on FOX November 11 for Veteran's Day between 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. EST (I think Fox News Channel)

AND---

Al and Blue will be hosting Live at the Nest November 20th at 7:00 p.m. --- That's the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Please send any questions you may have to either a mod or to me at carolyn@carolynstalcup.com. The mods can pass them along to me and then I will give them to Al so he can answer them. Be sure to join us on UStream for Chat Nov. 20th, 7:00 p.m.!!

I hope some of you get a chance to do one or both--should be interesting!!

I had posted about this program before and I guess the article that I posted had the wrong dates for the program!!

Eagle Nest Cam - American Eagle Foundation

Wednesday, Nov 28 (8pm EST) and (repeat) Thursday, Nov 29 (12am EST) as well as Friday, Nov 30 (1pm EST) = This is BIG!!!! Al will be honored on a segment of “Great American Heroes” and televised on GAC network with country music singer, Trace Atkins, featuring the work of the AEF. How blessed we are to know and be associated with this great man, Al Cecere......truly our hero!

These are the new dates and times-----

November 28, 2012 8:00 PM ET
November 29, 2012 12:00 AM ET
November 30, 2012 1:00 PM ET
December 02, 2012 8:00 PM ET
December 03, 2012 12:00 AM ET

Knoxville, Tennessee

Finding himself in Knoxville, Tennessee with some time on his hands before his performance, Trace becomes acquainted with three local heroes. Al Louis Cecere, the Founder and President of the American Eagle Foundation, introduces Trace to some of his bald eagles. Al has dedicated much of his time to rescuing and protecting eagles, and his work has been so effective it's taken eagles off the endangered species list.
