The Forum Has Moved!

:hello: JudyB! They not only nest late but for the last couple of years Indy has been getting her chicks to hatch nearly together by delaying incubation. Last year she had three hatches within 29 hours and this year both her babies hatched just inside of 7 hours!!

The second hatch took place at 10:51PM!!! Less than 7 hours later---AMAZING!! The eggs were laid 3 days apart.

I was only able to catch the babies in a couple of s'caps today. Every time I checked Indy had them well hidden

I think they're bigger now....





I missed the full extension on the flap - but it does look like a lovely day at the nest.

Both chicks were 6 weeks old yesterday.

The one on the edge was a little less than graceful on the dismount




but was up a moment later




and is now back perched on the edge of the nest



I think the adults are visible perched on a branch at the top of the screen.

I suspect that the eaglets will now be removed and taken to the hack tower PRONTO! Thanks JudyB!! I have lots to post probably post removal when I get my internet turned on.
