Great pictures, FishCamFan! Gosh, it's a challenge when there are so many interesting cams - and I'm so happy you and Bev/IrishEyes and others are posting pictures of the salmon that are such a big part of the circle of life here, and the story of the river!

Hi FishCam Fan.. I fixed your pictures for you... they are great !

Unfortunately the forum software doesn't accept "PNG" format and I had to change your pictures to " JPEG" format and then i added the" file" tags

Thanks Judy ..I just saw your post... and since you mentioned the story of the river I will also post the link to that for FishCamFan and others who haven't seen it ..

(Secretary)-Responsibilities and Duties


Key Responsibilities:

Conduct the correspondence of the foundation
Issue notices of meetings of the foundation and directors
Keep minutes of all meetings of the foundation and the directors
Have custody of all records and documents of the foundation except those required to be kept by the treasurer
Participate in the strategic planning process
Create written policies to govern the operations, services and programs of the foundation
Develop and complete the ďtransaction applicationĒ for the New BC Society Act
Develop an annual budget
Develop a privacy policy that is compliant with the BC PIPA and be responsible for itís compliance

Key Duties:

Regularly attend and participate in meetings and in the decision- making process of the board
Know and understand the foundationís mission, constitution and bylaws
Advocate for the foundation and itís needs to the community
Attend special events on the foundationís behalf and represent the foundation at community functions
Participate in fundraising activities
Commit to learning about eagles and their habitat

Qualifications and Experience:

Must live in the lower mainland
Must be 18 years of age or older
Working knowledge of the role of governance as it pertains to the NPO
Previous experience as a board member would be desirable but not mandatory


Treasurer -Responsibilities and Duties

Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the strategic planning process
Develop an annual budget and monitoring system
Oversee the maintenance of the financial records, including books of account necessary to comply with the BC Society Act, CRA and ITA
Ensure presentation of the financial statements to the directors and others when required
Ensure foundation is compliant with CRA obligations with respect to issuing donation receipts
Develop policy of reimbursement of expenses for board, staff, contractors and volunteers
Develop a procurements policy
Ensure all CRA requirements are met annually to maintain registered charity status which would include meeting with the foundationís CPA
Develop tools for monitoring the above and provide an annual report to the board which describes CRA compliance
Develop fundraising policy and procedures to comply with BC laws and CRA

Key Duties:

I like the lighting in these photos. It's interesting to see how the light changes the appearance of the river and the fish.
