MONDAY ~ FEBRUARY 3, 2014
Hello, Sharon and Chehalis River friends!wave

4:39-4:44 p.m.: The cam picture is much clearer! Also positioned a bit differently from before, so that we see the river bottom rather than the surface. Still a fair number of salmon passing by, a number of them looking very rough.

Sunday:
Message from Ken.

The hatchery cam is down. There is no internet service all of a sudden which means Ken will be having to contact someone on Tuesday due to the holiday Monday.

1:03 pm Not much happening - the same 3 fish slowly making their way across the cam face only to be pulled back by the current over and over again!

Can only see some very tiny fish swimming by. They don't show up in a scap because they blend in with the river bottom - maybe salmon fry?? Here is a short video.

Video Camera Tiny little fish swimming by the underwater cam!

When I told David Hancock that the salmon cam was still operating, he was quite surprised as was I. It is normally turned off around February each year after the salmon runs are over and restarted in the fall.
