10:58pm SO HAPPY we have 2 eggs now, Ma and Pa can get down to the business of incubating. Watching the video of the 2nd egg being laid was great, thanks Prisillash. I'm learning a lot from some of your comments and what David wrote just a while ago. So amazing to be able to witness this event

Thank you, priscillash, for posting the video! I missed the egg-laying in real time, so it was nice to be able to see Ma ... though exhausting to watch her go through labour. And thank you, David, for your observations. For me, the identity of the pair isn't the most important thing; it's the privilege of having such an amazing view of them making their way in the world. As you note, the world a tough place for living creatures. so I'm pulling for these two (well, potentially four).

5:07 a.m.: Ma sleeping in the nest with her two eggs.



5:23 a.m.: Ma snoozing in nest; Pa not visible, as far as I can see.



5:34 a.m.: An industrious spider spinning its web over the camera lens.

Looks like another beautiful forecast for today!



5:45 p.m.: Now Ma has her head tucked, with moonlight glittering in the water below.



6:00 a.m.: Sleepy Ma has changed position.

Ma awake and calling softly. So far no responding from Pa

5.30 am or thereabouts
Ma more vocal and I think she flew off after Pa -
