Has anyone notice the male's feathers. They look like he's been in a fight. The first is a pic earlier in the day and the second is after they mated.

7:58pm........Ma is laying on the egg...............she is constantly trilling at Pa. Finally he went up into the Y.

Pa still in the Y.

Pa flew off and Ma got up off the egg for a brief moment.

8:05pm........Ma seems to have settled down for the night.............She lowered herself down again, did a tiny egg roll and then laid flat down on the egg. Good Mama!

'Evening WR Friends,

Please try not to worry too much. The egg has debris on it but appears to be intact.

I will be away for a while so I'm going to ask Judyb or another knowledgeable Admin. to come by and explain the lack of incubation and hopefully allay some of your fears.
