New poster- been watching some last year and more this year. These are not the same eagles in my opinion. Look at the nest. Dad sloppy mating. Mom has been off the nest over 30 minutes now. She stood over the egg most of last night. That egg is probably already non viable. The intruders are probably our original eagles harassing these newcomers as this is still the originals Wr eagles nest. I hope I am wrong about the egg but dad isnt incubating.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems like different energy than from last year. These parents are driving me crazy with the amount of time that they are spending off their egg. Every time I looked at the computer during my work day the nest was empty.

Why isn't Pa helping I wonder? Why does mom stand over it lots? Don't they worry about other birds, etc, getting to it. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

6:56 or so starling in the nest right next to unguarded egg- next time it may be a crow. Where is dad when mom is gone- again no way is this last years eagles. This must be a young pair- nature is interesting to say the least. Pa should be staying when mom goes. he was in the nest at one point but he just looked at the egg like he didnt know what to do. Lets see how much she or he incubates the egg overnight.

7:16pm.........Adult came trilling into the nest.............did not sit on egg. It looked around as if watching, then jumped up to the lookout. Stayed for a couple of minutes and then flew off to the right!
