I think the original pair built a new nest but have harrassed this pair as the originals still consider this nest theirs- these eagles now have little parental instincts as seen by mom standing over egg last night and dad not incubating and being off egg for 45 minutes as of basically 10:45 till 11:30 this am. Sad to watch but nature none the less

I was wondering too if the 'intruders' might not be the nests original 'owners' and I concur wholeheartedly about this couple. They seem immature and not, as yet, capable parents and certainly do not mirror last years devoted Ma AND Pa. Pa would almost nudge Ma off the nest to be able to incubate and he brought many titbits for Mum when she was incubating or staying with the new bobbleheads

This was on the Hancock Facebook page 3/21: And life goes on in WR nest - After all this waiting time for an egg, we are starting to believe that WR Ma is not the same Ma from last year. Read more here.
