Hi Gemini - I have seen them chasing off adult intruders before, especially Ma. Rob was telling me that he witnessed her circling over the field next door, probably hunting, and she was being harrassed by a bunch of crows. All of a sudden she turned to one side, grabbed one of the crows, ripped it in half and let it fall to the ground. She didn't even bother to eat it. The other crows got the message and left her alone after that.
Most of the other eagles I've seen in the immediate area are juvies and they seem to be pretty tolerant of them, although if/when they actually get down to business in the nest I'm sure they will run them off as well.
I was out there this afternoon for a short time but didn't see either Ma or Pa.

Someone just arrived in the upper left, looked as if they had a few bites of something, then left. I didn't see any white, so am guessing it's the local juvie.

That must have been something to see, Judy! I've often thought the crows are pushing their luck a bit when I see them pestering an eagle.
