What wonderful news, Judy - thanks so much - and please thank Bev as well. Grin

It does seem as if this pair is a bit camera-shy until it gets closer to nesting season - and it's so wonderful to know that they're back. love

Darlene, I've occasionally wondered if I've seen something big flash by - but so far haven't seen anything clear enough to even guess that it might be an eagle - glad you also had a peek at one of them! Smile

The cams are back up - not sure what was going on as we couldn't connect to restart the encoders initially, but after a while we could.

I had to restart the encoder for the WA cam again this morning, and it looks as if somewhere in the midst of all of the starting and stopping the view reverted to the default position rather than our current wider view. It does give a nice look at the fall foliage

but I'll send an email to Ken and Richard asking them to pull it back to the wider view when they have a chance.

Hi Stim and everyone else. Thanks for the welcome back but I've never really left. I check each and every time I pass the nest to see if there is any activity and until last Thursday there hadn't been any. In fact I had just been remarking (ok, I was really whining) to a friend about the noticeable lack of wild eagles in the immediate OWL area, and then I saw Ma. It seemed that all of the other forum eagles had been spotted except for this pair so I was getting a little worried. Like I said, Bev told me that she had seen them, and I in no way was doubting her (I mean the lady does know her birds doesn't she?) but it's just not the same until I see them myself. Thankfully I was just being paranoid and now that they are back, I am eagerly looking forward to finding out what they have in store for us this year.
I did not see either one of them today however I did observe 2 adults soaring over the OWL property. They were way too high up to make a positive id but it could very well have been our pair. I'm also seeing more and more resident eagles so they are slowly making their way back.
Rest assured that I'm on the lookout and will post pictures when I get them, even if some of them tend to be almost the same from week to week.

:hello: This is posted after the fact, but this morning, 11:58, I heard a fairly close eagle voice with a more distant answering. I so hope they are both back. I'm thinking last fall 1 adult returned well before the other, wondering if one of the adults was new. Or perhaps that is their pattern of return.:dunno:

eta jewill says Bev has seen them. With that I am assuming both are back.
