I don't know how long the nest has been left alone but it's been empty since 7 am.
It's now 7:20

7:45 still no sign of mom or dad.
I'm off for now.

Welcome, crazy eye, and thanks for your observations!

A bit of overlap, but I have the following:

uncovered from a little before 6:40 - 6:47
Mom 6:47 - 6:49
uncovered 6:49 - 7:53
Mom 7:53 - present

It's hard to tell if this egg is beginning to break down. I thought I saw a bit of a hole earlier, but it might have been a trick of the light as it isn't really obvious in the s'cap.

:hello: Welcome crazy eye!

9:40 That last absence of Faith's was from 9:15-9:28 on my clock, 23 min. She's back on egg facing 7.
I don't recall when I last saw both parents on this nest.

Moving on. Out

Hi stim and crazy eye.

I thought it was Dad who came in at 9:28 or 29, though I could be wrong. It looked like his longer, thinner neck, and he(?) settled right in, without moving around the nestbowl first.

I was away from my desk for a few minutes, and when I came back at 9:59, the egg was uncovered again.

Adult arrives. I think this is Mom.
She(?) did settle right in - but I'm not seeing the longer neck this time.

10:44 am
Just came back to my desk to see the egg was uncovered; not sure when the adult left

11:12 am
Still no one home

Thanks for your update. I'm watching, too.

By the way, I posted this question in the O.W.L. thread: CLICK HERE

I can pose the same question to our avian vet at Lindsay, but I would like to get O.W.L.'s input.
