Well I guess that's definitely it for this season. I hope and pray they return next season and gain some maturity and skill over this next year. Enjoy your adventures Ma and Pa and keep safe to return next year!hugRed Heart

I hope they will show up on the nest occasionally so they don't lose their territoryfingers crossed

I think you're right and I'm sure they will look out for their territory or at least I hope so. As you've said, let's hope next year brings growth and maturity so that maybe just maybe next year is THE year for them. Be safe Ma and Pa Delta OWL !

Looks like Mom on the egg, has been there for about half an hour. If one egg has been taken, I wonder if that means it was viable at some point in time? :dunno:

How very sad to hear of Norfolk Mama. :cry1:

I had the camera on before daylight and Mom was on the nest the entire time. It wasn't until she got up this morning that there was only one egg left. No idea when it would have disappeared and whether it was stolen or if she disposed of it herself :dunno:

I haven't tried looking at the archives - might be something there showing what happened to the other egg. Or some of the people who post later in the day might have seen something.

I've had the cam up much of the day, and it looked to me as if someone was there about half of the time. Not sure if both adults are taking equal turns - only had the CU cam on, and sometimes need the WA to made a good guess as to who is who.

man alive to the missing egg! Owls will steal and eat eggs and hunt at night so that could be the suspect
