It was indeed an exciting and magical day! Smile Glad to hear you'll be there on the weekend, Judy - I've got the sense that they've decided to be a bit more protective of their nest tree (last night's very brief hawk/falcon visit notwithstanding), and am wondering if you'll see that on the weekend.

Still very dark - just a bit of reddish glow in the sky.

I wonder what today will bring....

There have been some crow-type birds flitting about the branches - but No eagles as yet

JudyB and Debs, thank you for the scaps of the very unusual scene yesterday! Don't Panic Very encouraging. They surely need to build up the sides of this nest. Landing in it is step one. Wooh

Hi everyone! Smile

11:40 am
I've been hearing calls, but haven't seen anyone yet. I have a suspicion there's one in the tree either right at the top of the screen or just out of sight - but haven't seen anything I'm sure is an eagle.

12:34 pm
More calls - sounds a bit insistent. I wonder if Mom thinks it's time for lunch?

Hi tigtig Smile

Glad you saw them! I heard a lot of calls, but didn't actually see any eagles today. But it was quite lovely to see them checking out the nest yesterday. love

Please do keep us posted on what you see on your visits to OWL - we are curious what the eagles are doing!
