:hello: Bev, yojopro & Doreen. I have been checking Phoebe's site at least once a day since I got back from my vacation and have been a little concerned that Phoebe has not been preparing a nest for a new clutch of eggs. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she has decided to take a much deserved break and hasn't decided to move to another location Sad I guess Mr. Pungh will let everyone know if he sees Phoebe working on a nest.

:hello: Hi Bev, Doreen, and welcome back Kay [just 'saw' you on GHO]!

I'm glad everyone has been checking in on Phoebe's web cam - I was beginning to think that I was the only one NOT seeing her around. Must confess, though that I have only been checking in two or three times a day, so that is not the best coverage, and she sure could have been around without me spotting her.

But, we are all keeping our fingers crossed and, as you imply, Kay, Mr. Pungh is the best spotter of all Smile

Great Bev - I'm glad you got a sighting! I had forgotten about Phoebe's beak, mainly because it didn't seem she was hampered by it in feeding the chicks. Actually, it looked a lot better as time went by so fingers crossed

ADD: I am somewhat frustrated by the fact that I'm having trouble getting sound when I'm viewing on the cam. That is pretty much how I get the heads up that there is a hummer around - I can hear them coming before they actually arrive. Perhaps, the sound is turned down on the cam at the source, because, having tested it, there is nothing wrong with my computer sound system. Maybe the Punghs' wanted some well-deserved privacy until a new nest is on-going? If so, I can hardly blame them - such good sports!!

Hi yojopro..I agree.. but i think building a nest or restoring a used one would be harder on Phoebes beak than feeding the chicks..again JMO

Good Night all.....Hummingbirdhug
