This thread is intended as a place to share your memories of the Delta nests - both Delta 1 and Delta OWL.

They may not have as much history as the Sidney nest, but many of us watched and laughed and cried at the events here as well.

This is a place to share that.

July 22, 2008: First Delta Dan falls, around 8 PM. The fall is seen by people watching the live video, and they contact David Hancock and O.W.L. ..
Delta Dan was picked up and taken to a wildlife hospital (O.W.L.) the day after he fell from the nest.

Bandit and Dot

I wasn't around during the Delta Dan and Dawn season but last year someone (BET? Skipper?)posted a video of Pa Delta flipping one of them when they were little fuzzballs in a somersault on the edge of the nest. It was cute and unbelievable!

But after watching Bandit lead a stoic, lonely life, seeing the video of him being released and flying free can still make me cry.
