Thank You for the updates JudyB, Rick, and Janet.
If the xray is normal, then hopefully they will release the O tomorrow.
This critical time period in this O's life is what's making me feel quite anxious.
Red Heart Hopefully, it will still get back to its nest and have time to learn to fish before Mom's migration.

Sorry to hear that, Bev. we are here if you need us. hug

5:58pm eater is still working on his meal. he has the nest all to himself.

Now that I'm looking for it I see the smudge at about the 7oclock spot that was mentioned earlier.

Terry - they are trying to say they will only provide updates on Facebook and will only post updates when there is something to say.
They will not respond to emails, questions on Facebook, phonecall enquiries.
We can only wait and hope
The Zoo nest is fairly 'close' to where the O was rescued.
When you consider the distance the O migrate too, this distance is neglible.
I think the other nest they refer to is on Memorial Drive/corner of Crowchild Trail, just upstream from our Zoo Nest.
I am not aware of O missing from the other nest.

6:40pm our lone bird is still enjoying his fish.

Thanks for the clarification, Janet. They have enough to do without fielding calls and emails from we 'worry-worts' LOL

Thanks, Terry and Janet! It is hard because this is the only chick/young one most of us know who is currently in rehab - but they no doubt have tens or maybe a hundred creatures depending on them, many needing much more support than the young osprey who reminds us so much of the ones we've been watching, whether or not he or she is from this nest.

I doubt that they have time to read here - but I would like to send my thanks to them for all they do. love

I've spoken to the rehab people and the Osprey is still there, she was a bit skinny so they are trying to fatten her up before release. She is also having x-rays taken tomorrow.

I am sure this will stir up a whole lot of opinions. I don't know what's best, hopefully, they do.

Rick

Thank you, Rick! I also don't know what's best, and from reading what they've posted, I know they were already considering the issues that occurred to me, probably long before I even thought of them! Through the wonders of the internet, I "know" a number of people who are involved with rescue and rehab - and I am in awe at what you all do.
Thank You

8:18pm Well I had a very strange thing happen just now I had the cam up small with just the scap below on it and when I went to enlarge the screen there were two O's on the nest that suddenly faded and again the screen went to what you see below- time warp.. very weirdPuzzled ????
anyway the nest is empty except for the quite large and enticing remains of the fish we see at 8 on the nest

I do appreciate all that is being done for the osprey and thank you all of you who care so much as to try to find out what will happen to it.Thank you Rick for rescuing the chick and thank you all.Thank You

waveHi gd, the same thing just happened to me! It was weird because the first quick screen was lighter out than it is right now but it looked like live-streaming, it wasn't a pic!Puzzled
