Sorry that I did not think to do this first thing this morning but I was still hoping for news of a release today.
I got lucky and found the osprey has been taken to the Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society's care facility and when I asked about her condition I was told she was "holding her own" but would be in their care for some time.

She has to be examined by a veterinarian before her release, although it didn't sound like there were any obvious injuries. Perhaps someone in the field or a representative of the forum could get more information on the bird and explain our concerns. The person that I spoke to assured me that they have cared successfully for many osprey when I told her I was worried about shock. The phone number is 403-239-2488 and the facility is located on 85th St. in NW Calgary.

I will be out the rest of the afternoon. wave

3:51pm 2 on the nest left side. 1 is eating the other looking about.

I added my voice to the request to adjust the cam to show us the sandbar again.

I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

Bluebird1, That is very sad to hear that news about the juvie osprey. We were all hoping she was fine and was going to be released today. It would sure be good to know more details from the Rehab Center.

Thank you for the update Bluebird1.

May this chick have the strength to get healthy again! As IrishEyes said, we can only hope and pray.

Hi Everyone,

Although you the requests on FB work, you might also want to send a polite request to osprey@enmax.com to adjust the camera. I sent them a request this morning when I knew the camera was done and it was up soon after. It is worth a try.
