9:58pm......Oh my goodness.........I have been reading today's posts for the last 35 minutes! What a lot of posts today, but after reading them I understand why. When something is happening, there are lots of posts! BET, thanks for the info on migration. Also thanks for the information on the geese in the nest! Great picture of those geese! Rick, wonderful job of rescuing the chick today! I had no idea these chicks were so close to such a high density area! There were many great posts today and I do thank you all! I have to say again.......what a great Mom! I am so impressed by her! If that rescued chick was from this nest, we may see it soon.

10:03pm..........It doesn't look like that chick has moved since JudyB's s'cap.

Good Morning wave

I have been trying to do a catch up and was astonished when I read Rick's report of the juvie rescue. That definitely could be our missing chick. From looking at the map the nest is not far from the apartment building.

Now I wonder where the rescue society will do the release ? I hope it's in the Inglewood area so that if he is our bird he can find the nest quite easily.

UNBELIEVABLE !
Mom delivered a fish and the chick that had the old fish left it and just scooped the new fish as well.

Mom flew off.
The chick guards his fish and his sibling isn't happy about it. Now why wouldn't he just decide to eat the old fish instead of wanting the new one ? Maybe there is truth to the fact that osprey only like fresh fish :dunno:

Neither chick is eating. One stands on the new fish and the old fish lays exposed at 7:00. I'd say neither of them are very hungry.

Good Morning Calgary, Hi Everyone!

I too am waiting for the chick to be released. This site and the incredible reporting, the valiant mom, the stories evolving daily; the pictures of the area taken by new friends - it is just wonderful. Just a huge thanks!
