Okay I am finally back from my rescue of a juv' Osprey. They poor guy was trapped on a balcony 16 floors up, the balcony was very small, too small for a full wing span. As such I think he/she is likely just fine. I covered him up and took him to our local wildlife rehab centre. Where they check'd him out fully, he seems just fine but they'll keep him for observation to make sure. I'll post pic's asap.

Thanks, RIck. That's incredible!

Oh wow, Rick, these are amazing. I do not know how far they will fly but I wonder if it could be the juvie that has not been seen at our nest for the last two days.

How long had the Opsrey been on the balcony?

The Juv'e was on her balcony all day yesterday till I rescued him at 1:30. I have no idea if it's from the Enmax nest or not, but what a magnificent creature to hold. Bigger and heavier than I expected.

I keep stopping my packing to check Thank you Rick Thank you for rescuing her and ThankYou for your report and great photos.

The head markings do resemble one of our chicks. But who knows for sure. Without bands - it's a guess - by location. And of course there is another nest near by as evidenced by the visiting juvie a few days ago

Thank you so much, Rick. Glad to hear the young one seems fine! If all goes well, will he/she be released from the balcony? Or from a nearby open space?
