Not just okay, Janet, but brilliant! Thank You What a wonderful perspective that first picture of the nest and Mom and the "chick" give us, thank you so much.

Thanks also to Terry and Judy (jkr) for capturing the fishing forays of (probably) our #1 chick. She has been a strong flyer from the start and was more aggressive than we usually see on this nest - not bad traits for a bird of prey. I think that she is also a great defender - has it not been amazing that with all the "traffic" nearby no one came to the nest to steal the fish left on the nest last night?

Have been waiting for your pictures, Janet, and look forward to ALL of them - there can't be too many! Grin

Oh, and when I looked in at 8:40 pm tonight the nest was empty. At 8:33 pm the osprey youngster was preening on the left side of the nest.

Thank you Janet for those pictures - you are incredible to figure out how to handle this forum!

The pictures say what we were hoping to see - Mom eating away. The chicks probably were hoping she would stop and feed them yet it is highly reassuring to see before our eyes that she is getting fed.

These chicks just keep learning and learning well - cool how the sandbar is visible so we can see them fish there.
Thank you everyone!

Hi Janet,

Great shots. I love them! I have to get down to the area again before the osprey migrate.

Did you see the osprey in the top picture land in the tree or fly around? The reason I ask is that it looks like an adult male because of how white the chest is. Mom has colour on her chest area.

You have got me wondering now Christine. I saw a Chick fly into the trees, searched all around for the O, but I must have captured the wrong one.
