:hello: Hi Bev,

I hope that you are feeling better. Smile It has been a very slow day on the nest so you haven't missed much and the coverage of the fish drop was awesome.

There have been two "egg-like" objects on the nest where the middle chick is sitting and that may be what you are seeing now. Does anyone know what those are and when they came in? I have been meaning to ask about them for some time now.

I haven't a clue what they are, but could they maybe be 'pellets' of undigested material they have brought up? Is that something ospreys do? - I know eagles do it.

So glad you liked my tea, Bev! wavehug

We have been wondering about the egg-like objects also. One of them has been there for about a week but I am not sure about the other. We have had a number of theories, well, wild guesses really. Stones someone caught instead of fish. A present from the visiting squirrel. A stone a fish swallowed. Okay, I did not say they were good guesses. Titter

I wonder if it was a slower day at the nest because of boats on the river. Although I only saw one, the police and fire department expected the waters to be busy today and for the whole long weekend. I wonder if mom is also saying "start getting your own food. I won't be here forever."
