Thanks once again BET,if it is the new male,it's wonderful news.It looked like a male to me,those white legs,long and slender,
and that athletic posture,the picture seems
to show the tail quite good,great stuff.I'd expect this new male to instinctively take over the rest of the season for momma,but
i believe she may hold out for a few more days.I
also think that the juvies are learning to accept the new male.If he does go to the nest more i have no doubt momma will
boogie.Hard to say thou,osprey's,so mysterious!

3:38pm a chick arrives to the nest. now 2 on the nest

Two chicks on the nest..one is eating at 2..Other one is looking out over towards 4..Nice size fish at 7

Bev-- I think the time on your post should say 3: 51pm not 5:51pm

3:56pm..........If I understand correctly, we are not sure if it was Mom or a new male in the nest earlier?? Too bad it is so difficult to tell the difference........wish they would all do poses for us so we could see! If it is Mom , this is just more reason to love her......she is so dedicated and I hope she can recover from this extra load placed on her. If it is a new male, we can all feel some relief, and hope for this lovely family!

2 chicks on the nest...........the one at the back is eating............the other one doesn't seem to care.

I tuned in to see all three chicks eating and Adult is on the nest..

4:15pm
I missed the Adult leaving..but just love to see all three chicks eating

4;10pm 3rd bird lands -- adult I think, followed by a chick.

now 4 on the nest. and the fish at 7oclock spot is now being eaten.



4:15pm adult gone now 3 chicks on the nest.
