Adult in - not sure if she(?) brought anything, but got a couple of s'caps.

That picture Lilywriter has a adult in it,just wondering if anyone recording knows if that is momma or that
new male.Momma is totally built and lean like a fishing
male so it's hard to tell,three eating,just full proof of the assistance of the new male,and those fish lately
look like whales.

At 1:44 the third chick returned to the nest - took up a post at the 4:30spot.

Mom flew in with fish


The third chick was on it almost before Mom could get her wings folded.

Mom wandered about the nest for a few minutes and then at
2:08pm Took off

Thanks BET,i must say that momma has truly sacrificed all her body fat for the sake of her babies,only in nature,especially birds
will give their lives to breed,and protect their
young,amazing dedication,how could one not admire such a sacrifice,and there is no certainty as to whether she will ever be able to
bring herself back to the shape she was in,as
if this poor girl went thru major surgery and it will be a long time for her to rejuvinate back to her broad,well rounded female osprey
shape,should be of great interest if she returns next year,i'll be
at Ayer's,so i'll definitely be checking in.

Gerard, I noted your post so went back and looked at my video - frame by frame. Mom never faced the camera in a position to get a good view of the chest. Slight glimpses looked like a dark necklace. But the very last image is a good view of the tail feather fan No damage here


Also I have been meaning to check Mom's arrival this year.

April 15 - Strangely she arrived about 5/6 days before Dad - who up until this year, was always the first one home.

3:10pm

I had to stop and look to see if the river was moving to make sure my cam stream was working. Two chicks just perched on the nest and a half a fish lying there - no interest from either chick

3:22pm 1 chick on the nest at 6oclock position.

an unattended, large portion of fish at 7oclock corner as well.




chick is now at about 2oclock spot and eating from his own fish.
