Thanks JudyB for emailing to tell me that there had been 4 chicks again today. It must be the adopted son. Whistling

8:44 pm
An osprey went whizzing by and headed up river, circled the river and then arrived on the nest within a minute. When it landed it was chittering so I wonder if it was the same bird or if it had been chased by another one ---- or was the one giving chase.

wow,my last post and i took off for the week-end.I wonder if the fourth chick lost it's pops,or
as observed thru Jazzel's group, could be a young wonderer,
but i feel the storm is the answer in whatever way,so many it's just a guessing game, but juvies
are recorded as taking off on jaunts far from their nests
and whether fishing or stealing fish they can be about and storms and deaths of ospreys happen
from storms and just so many possibilities out there.
I still feel that momma is being provided by another male and might the intruder at times be the new
male trying to make his presense known as "like i'm the
provider, yee better get used to my face, because you'll need me'.I should be shot for assumptions
but this nest is so intriging,it's driving me nuts
to want to be there live in the field in a good area to record,i mean just throw me in a kayak and
where-ever lol momma flew,i would chase her,of course some distance at
all times, but whatever is on the go,what a jouney these ospreys are having,i knew natta about Calgary,
that storm brought me here, never read a day of posts and now
i'm glued to the screen and all of your wonderful posts from such dedicated posters, thanks to you all
and on with the show! Go Calgary!!!
