Feather - wanders toward mid nest. Evidently the chick at 3:30 was standing on a fish bit. Feather went after it - a bit of tussle - he got it. Meantime, Four decided to dangerous to stay

Four takes off with her bit of fish 2:04pm


Have to leave for a bit - recording going

2:26pm

Only one left on nest at this time. It is the one that was eating at 12:00 the fish that was delivered about noon time

3:59 pm

Third chick just flew in. They are watching something.

3:51pm only 2 on the nest --both went in to 'protect' mode while looking out over the water at screen left
1 is now standing and the other is laying flat -- covering food maybe?





3:58pm 3rd chick home as I was doing the s'cap -- all seem on alert

4:30pm chick off the nest; down and away from 12oclock spot out over the water.
the other 2 seem quite relaxed



4:42pm poopshot from bird at 1oclock spot.
It's probably just the angle, but I am struck by how slender this chick looks compared to his sibling.

~ 5:00pm third chick back on the nest. (and my cam froze )



5:03pm now only 2 and I don't know who left (see above ^^ )


5:06pm now only ONE on nest -- they took off as I was doing my s'cap

5:08pm and now the third is gone: empty nest.



5:10pm and now 1 is back

5:11pm a 2nd back -- in from 5oclock spot



All that coming and going and no one brought a fish home to eat.

5:07 One chick remains on the nest. Great reports of the activity of all 5 osprey.


5:14 Missed it incoming but we now have 2 at home.

5:17pm now back to just one on the nest
and #2 arrived as I am typing...

5:26pm mom arrived -- fish fight ensues-- winner is now at 5oclock spot enjoying the meal. I don't think mom even landed.



5:31pm now all three home and just one eating

5:32pm



5:34pm after yet another fracas, eater left, fish in tow as far as I could tell.



5:35pm all are on the nest now and eater is at 5oclock spot.

It's impossible for me to keep current notes and do s'caps too!!
