Good morning, Judy!

7:29 am
Just returned to computer to see an empty nest - then one flew in, then another, and then the third. I suspect they may be following each other, and perhaps Mom, around, making sure that no one gets extra treats!

Good Morning Jkr and Judy B. Great news that the o's were all off the nest last night. One more positive step taken so they migrate on time. Mom has just done so well.

My snaps are pretty much like yours Judy as I slept in this morning.

I am off for a bit now but am so encouraged by the positive things that are happening since the hailstorm.

Good morning Donna :hello:

7:50 am
Waiting for breakfast. I wish they would head over to the sandbar and learn to hunt on their own soon. So far we have only ever seen one chick bring in a fish and he may well have stole it because he hasn't brought one in since.
Over the years we've never actually seen every single chick bring in a fish so it doesn't mean they don't learn sooner or later.

8:06 am
Two of them have flown off and one is perched on the rim.

8:08 am
The last one has flown off and the nest is empty once again.

8:09 am
An osprey flew out to the sandbar but it was so far in the distance that there is no way to tell whether it was one of ours.

8:11 am
One chick returned.

8:12 am
He's flown off again and the nest is empty.
And a mapgpie arrives to take his place.

8:27 am
One chick arrived and flew off again and headed directly to the sandbar Clapping From the looks of it there may be more than one there now.

Out as much as I'd love to watch these birds all day I have a ton of things I have to do but I will be popping in off and on today.

9:30 am
All three were on the nest, then one of them suddenly took off like a little flash, out over the river and out of sight off to the left. I am wondering if he/she saw Mom and decided to be nearby in case she catches something - hope so, because that is how they learn. I didn't notice the second one leaving, but there's only one on the nest now, and he/she is looking around, so perhaps thinking of joining the other two.

And now I need to say goodbye for a while. Out

Morning All

I just got my internet connection restored. Went down last night. Long story short McAfee has installed a new update and it has a "bug" that blocks access to the internet. Thanks to my internet provider, the cure is a "system restore"

I post all this in case any one else develops the problem

I will be gone most of the morning. Just started the recorder. Note times if anything grand and glorious occurs

later
