Isn't that hard to believe after hugging the nest almost all day? It was fun to see them bopping in and out all evening (one was gone just over an hour) but the others were in and out and seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Christine if you had been here at 8:55 pm all three were finally together on the nest but it was only momentarily as the nest was empty two minutes later.

"No late snack here so let's paint the town red tonight?" A bit of a surprise but guess we had to expect it sooner or later. Well done Mom! and Dad :cry1: we miss you.

I was at the computer and then went to answer the phone. Can't I do two tasks at once??? When I came back it was empty?

I agree with you -- Mom has done a great job but we still miss Dad.

12:35am no one home on the nest... I can't believe they just up and left! But I am so proud of them... maybe they will be there in the morning

Looks as if the nest is still empty. Considering how close they've been in everything else (two hatched June 12, the third on June 13; two fledged August 9, the third on August 10), I guess it's not surprising that once one of them spent the night away, the other two would follow suit.

One has arrived. Don't know if it was the one that flew off or the one that hadn't been to the nest yet.
