10:56 pm Still only two sleeping on the nest tonight, I imagine Big Sister has graduated to a perch or tree branch nearby. She must not have been hungry because there is a lot of fish lying under the let falling forward over it at 10.

The other chick fell sleep mid-nest earlier this evening, stirred and went to 3 and peered down, thought about another steal attempt but decided instead to move onto the edge of the nest at 10. After peering over the edge there the chick fell asleep and is now stirring and preening just after 11 pm.

Of all the different sights on the nest today I must say that seeing one let sleeping over the fish with the other waking up and not grabbing for the fish was the strangest. Dad would have a kitten if he saw that unguarded fish right now!

Time for a midnight snack. The let with the fish is having a few bites while the other let sleeps.

Glad that you were here to see that, Christine. It`s midnight now, the witching hour and the nest does look spooky in this light. It is so dark with
only a few white outlines of both the chicks and sticks.

The `fish let`` is still at 10 and the other has moved over to 2, both are now leaning forward and appear to be sleeping. A good thing to do at this hour.

Two on the nest this morning, awake and preening - and is that part of an uneaten fish at the lower left (7 o'clock position)?

Thats a nice bit of sushi there being ignored by the juvies.c'mon byes,eat that fish!

The oslets are quietly watching around them. The third chick has yet to return.

6:09 to 6:29 The snaps look about the same....2 chicks and a partly eaten fish.


6:32/6:34 Chick at 3 has a good PS and then moves over to the fish for breakfast. The other chick moves toward 12.

6:38 The third chick returns to the nest landing at 5. It moves to 3. The same chick that was feeding continues to manage the fish.
