In less than 2 weeks, Ma and Pa should return to the island (around Oct. 3), and in less than 3 weeks we should see them on the nest (Oct. 11). Seems like they've been gone for-EVER already. Gotta keep our eyeballs peeled for them.

Beans, in 2009 (Hope's year) I seem to remember we could switch back and forth between the CU and WA...and have them both up at the same time...our choice. (Hornby-1 and Hornby-2 on WE) That was the first year since 2006 we got to see them on cam, and I think the first year for the WA. Broadcasting the cam was a joint effort between HWF and Wildearth for that year only. In 2010 (Phoenix) Doug switched between them for us...and Raptorman got the PiP to work.

The last I heard, the CU was still functional...Ma and Pa just built the nest too high to be able to see anything. The WA went pffft last year, I think. Well, if you look at the view we have now, it looks like 'stuff' is hanging from the WA. It might be electrical tape or it could be the cable. :dunno: I guess it doesn't really matter now...we won't be seeing anything from either of them.

Hornby Weather

Well folks, this season has come to an end and it's almost time for Ma and Pa to return to do it all again in 2013. They should return in early October, so I'm locking this thread.
