Hi Nestmates
Yesterday I had the most exciting day ever. Laura, Justin, Rachel & I went down to the valley for
the 20th Annual Eagle Watch Festival. What an awesome experience.
As soon as we arrived and parked our vehicle we noticed an eagle in the tree right where we had
parked.


We had to walk a little ways along a side road to get to the field where there were hundreds of people
and cameras waiting for the eagles to come to the food that the farmers had put out earlier. At first
all we could see were a few eagles in the trees along the edge of the field.

There was a couple of eagles flying around, but they also landed in some
trees along the edge of the field.

All of a sudden a couple of seagulls arrived


and that's when the eagles decided to defend their food.

It didn't take long before there were several eagles at the food station.

As more eagles begin to arrive, some took their food off to eat in the
trees.

Some eagles just hung around and watched


Others protected the fly zone


and a few kept a watchful eye from ground level.
