Went to visit Ma and Pa today. Both seen and accounted for. Both looking and acting extremely well. Took some pix and video and then the camera battery ran out and I only have one so.......... it is now charging and I'll hopefully have some documentation to post tomorrow. ( And note to self to get a spare battery)

Regarding the recent diesel oil spill: Ian and I parked the car at the church at the south end of the bay and walked the beach from there all the way to the staircase that leads up to the end of Towner Park Rd ,up the staircase there and along the path through the woods to the road and down the road to West Saanich Rd and back down West Saanich Rd to the car. This way we were able to examine a great portion of the beach and also the running water in the ditch by the side of the road in front of Epicure property. We didn't see or smell anything out of the ordinary. I believe professionals/officials are continuing to monitor the situation because there was a red vehicle, as previously reported by sassyk, parked under Pa's fave beach perch tree when we walked by there.

Thankfully there does not appear to be any cause for alarm Phewand to my knowledge there has not been any recent media coverage of this unfortunate event.

As we walked down Towner Park Rd we got a great view of the new nest. It's looking good and I realised it will only be a month before this year's eggs are laid. Oh My Ma and Pa are enjoying this halcyon time of courtship and freedom as evidenced by their behaviour today. They are a devoted couple and their commitment endures.

Out with pix

And a couple of pix of him on the rock. Both are clickable.
This one is shared with 2 crows.

And this one I like just because it has an peaceful ethereal feel and showcases the beauty of the bay.

Thanks Annie.

Ian says Pa looks like his pants shrunk in the picture on the rock. Rolling on floor laughing Puddle jumpers. Nodding yes
