Just a quick post before I turn in, Indy laid her first egg this evening at about 7pm CDT Here's a screen shot (I hope - haven't posted one before on this forum lol)

I saw them both on the nest late yesterday afternoon and after watching for a while saw no inkling that an egg was coming. She never even went into the nest. What a surprise!!!

These two are from about 4PM yesterday.

3:05 nest time...Indy sitting on the rail with the egg uncovered in the rain.




Now the cam is gone and the dreaded blue screen is there! :

LOL I think they surprised everyone! I had gotten to the point of not checking the nest very often, since they had cam problems and when the cam was up, often not much eagle activity. but lucked in last night, popping in just after she laid (okay a few minutes earlier would have been better but it was great to see. Indy stood still for over an hour after she laid. It was amazing!

Before 12PM...They have been off the egg for a while



3:20PM....Still off the egg



4:10....still not incubating

6:00PM neither parent on the egg!



6:30PM still not on egg

6:35PM Frank is in the nest



But completely ignoring the egg.



6:45...Indy alone and calling
