Hi everyone! I was away for a couple of days so just catching up on things - and the pictures are looking fine to me today. I'm not sure what they were doing - but do know when the internet is slow (either on our end or locally), sometimes the little subroutine that imports the pictures times out, so it takes several refreshes (or coming back later) to be able to see them. It doesn't happen often with this site, but I also am a member of another forum that's a lot more liberal about including moving graphics and lots of big pictures - and I have trouble seeing some of the pages there on occasion.

If it continues to be an issue, please either PM me or post here, with the understanding that I'll be deleting the posts that are about technical issues rather than eagles once it's resolved.

And speaking of eagles - they are looking great! Thanks for the pictures, eaglewoman!

SadWell folks, today was the day the eaglecam was to be turned on, so a bit of a blue day here...
Damon Athur from the local paper wrote an article about the situation...

Nice article - and such a shame that the eagles won't be online this year, though I certainly support the decision to do nothing that might upset the eagles as they prepare for spring.

I do find it interesting that a number of eagle pairs seem to be moving to new nests this year - makes me wonder if there's some sort of cycle, though it seems unlikely as they are in various parts of North America.

Wed. 10:00 a.m.
I found Patriot in the nest when I arrived. Liberty flew by chasing a Turkey Vulture out of the area, I caught part of that on video which I'm uploading currently.
Patriot flew to a nearby branch and Liberty moved into the nest to do some repairs. She sat up in the nest for quite a while, getting it nice and cozy for egg-laying time in February!

Dusk on Thursday, I found the pair working on the nest together. I also took a shot of the new nest and the old nest so you can see how close they are to eachother, and how little there is left of the old nest. Wise eagles, those two!
When I left, the pair was sitting side by side on Lookout Limb, just like they used to!love

Merry Christmas to one and all!
We found our beloved eagles in the Family Tree today, an early Christmas present! They even began calling to each other, and added treat!

Merry Christmas Terri! I have joined the forum! I don't know how often I will be able to visit but I wanted to post a video I uploaded this afternoon:

It's my first post. Not sure how to show the photos here in the actual post.

Welcome, Birder's Report!

Great pictures! The easiest way to have them appear in a post is to load them as attachments from your computer - here's how. The forum software will automatically make a smaller version to show in the post, which one can click to see the picture at its beautiful full size.

If flickr has a code for making a thumbnail version of a picture, you can also do that and make it a "posh link" to your full-size picture on the flickr site - the hint after the one I linked above discusses posh links. And you can click the link in my signature for "helpful hints" to learn how to do more nifty stuff - or let us know what you'd like to do, and we can send a PM (personal message) with more information.

Hope this all works, and am looking forward to hearing from you again when you have a chance!

Welcome
