Hornby Weather

There are no plans to close this thread. It will remain open should Doug decide, and have time to, post any updates he has. As always, we welcome Doug any time he chooses to post.

Hornby Weather

Hi everyone. This is going to be a really hard post for me to write as I know everyone has been posting with good intentions and trying to be helpful and provide information.

However....

This thread was originally set up when we thought we would be able to see the cams Doug Carrick installed to watch the Hornby eagles. It was intended to be a place for people to discuss what they saw on the cams, supplemented with Doug's great descriptions of wildlife on the island.

When the cam stopped streaming, we kept the thread open so Doug could post about the eagles and their environment, when he chose to do so.

It remains open as a courtesy to Doug - and it is up to him if he chooses to use it. Doug and David introduced many of us to eagles, and I still remember the magic the first time I saw Mom and Dad Hornby.

So - effective immediately - I am returning this thread to its original purpose - discussion of what the eagles are doing, from Doug's perspective.

Any posts that are not about what the eagles are doing will be considered chat and moved to the Friends of Hornby thread in the Garden Fence area - forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=277422

It was brought to my intention that my post made it sound as if only Doug could post here - and that was not my intent.

Anyone who lives on Hornby or visits Hornby is welcome to post about the eagles here.

But please - this is an eagle discussion thread - so please limit the discussion to eagles. Thank you.

Hornby Weather

Did Hornby quit having weather? Just to know some one is out there is reassuring that the nest continues.

Hi onemorefan! I'm here checking the thread out too. The nest and our Hornby family still look great, from what I can tell from the new territory cam. Elizabeth is growing by leaps and bounds, and soon will be flappercising all around the nest. Waiting patiently for that to start! Hope all is well with you!
