First egg! One eagle or the other has been sitting in the nest all day. We just saw the second eagle land on the nest and take over a shift. Although we can see very little we could see it stepping down into the nest and doing its typical wiggle as it settled down in the nest. So I consider the first egg laid early this morning, March 19th. I cannot see the egg and won't be able to at any time.

Thanks Doug! Grin I couldn't be happier if I'd laid the egg myself!

This egg is one day earlier than in '10...it was laid on the 20th.

WOOOHOOOOO! Let the season begin!

Okay, I've composed myself finally. I cannot even believe. I'm flabbergasted, dumbfounded really. I had mentally prepared myself to wait... and wait...and hope. I really though Mom and Dad would keep us guessing for a while. Never, in my wildest dreams, did I think Mom would lay an egg this early. These eagles just amaze me continually. I can't stop smiling! OVER EAGLES. LOL

Cloud 9 Hi Hornby friends!! (I've been wanting to find use for that new smiley!)

What all of you have said and HOT DOG!!!! Grin

Thanks Doug for keeping us informed!! Now we all pace "the waiting room" together!!

ETA: Maybe this is why there was a lot of nest building going on a couple of days ago. Ma may have had an instinct that things were getting close........
