Hello all!. Just heard some very exciting news and wanted to share it with you all. Although Doug has retired his wonderful cams from public view, a new PTZ cam is being installed on Hornby in the Greggs tree, so we will once again be able to see Mom & Dad! Here's the link to the announcement for all that are interested:

GG :hello: thank you so much for sharing the announcement here I am absolutely thrilled about the new cam. My love of eagles started in 2006 with the Hornby's Red Heart and I cannot wait to see them again.

The new cam will never take the place of Doug's original vision but it will give us a new viewpoint and I'm so appreciative of HEG's efforts in making this a reality. Doug introduced us to these beautiful creatures, and only Doug was (and is) able to get up close enough to see the pips and hear the first peeps as hatching time grew nearer. I don't think anyone will ever forget that. But for those of us who sorely miss seeing Mom and Dad, this is the best news. It will be an entirely new viewpoint and hopefully we'll be able to see them on the babysitting tree, etc. My heart warmed at the news. I truly hope Doug and Sheila are enjoying their retirement. Hopefully they're just out on another adventure and that's why he hasn't checked in in a while.

GG I echo your thoughts precisely. I hope that Doug will continue to share here as he has in the past....as nobody knows the Hornby's Red Heart better than Doug & Sheila Click on image to download so I do hope that retirement has room for us Wub
