Birdsofprey I'm not sure if Dad, who is named "Pappa" helps incubate the eggs. I've been trying to do some research on that, but if I remember right from last season, it was just Mom on the eggs. Puzzled
I will post the story and some pictures from their facebook to share with everyone that tells the story of this unique owl family.

These are pictures posted at Facebook. As the season goes on and the owlettes are moving about the porch, the cam will be pulled back and you can actually see the surrounding area from the porch view.

Night view

I ran the video last night once again in hopes of another egg laid. Just skimming though the video, it doesn't look like there is a 3rd egg, and I don't see anything posted at facebook about one either. The fact Mom is on the eggs for a good amount of the time, I am thinking we are only going to have 2 owlettes this season.

Off to have breakfast and be back shortly!

Good Afternoon birdofprey and Jean... I don't recall Dad incubating the eggs the last season.. i am not sure if he brooded the owletts... like i said i am learning more as i go along this year....

Jean the boys and i were reading that story yesterday.. thank you for post it here and the pictures .. i don't do face book... being Sunday here i was off to Church and family breakfast afterwards.. no time to post earlier...

I never saw food delivered during the day when i was watching.. i guess that is why Mom leaves in the evening... to get a good feed..Titter i do hear another Owl close by at times "hoot hoot".. especially after dark...
