Good Evening EA Friends! wave

We woke up to a white world this morning so it seemed a good day to have the oven on and bake a cake! Birthday cake

Finally, finished up with other duties around 4 pm and decided I had to try one Pineapple Upside-Down Cake in my lifetime Titter

Looked in all my modern cookbooks and couldn't find one recipe, not surprising. PUDC is sort of "old school" Nodding yes

Luckily, I have a sizable collection of vintage and kooky cookbooks so headed to the basement bookshelves to check out the Fabulous Fifties category.... Ah yes! Many Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes to choose from. I selected this book, because it had a picture!

I've noticed the "missing dirt" when filling in a dog dug hole too Naoma. How do they do that? Titter
Let's hope that whatever is happening behind the scenes will create a very positive outcome from the court dates.

That must have been horrible when Bleu was attacked Carolyn. Sad
Tonight's bear update is sad to think of what might have been. Hope has definitely left her mark on educating people about black bears. Smile

Thanks for the pics and vid of Lily & Hope, Dede. Smile
She sure was having a blast with the hollow log and wood chips. Titter
Yummy. Excellent looking PUDC!

Look at what you started Annie! Titter

Then I made the batter, from scratch, as it was quite a simple recipe. Poured it on top and shoved the pan in the oven for 45 minutes.
Voila! Left thumb up

Oh My oh yeah, the nuts were upside-down - nuts! Titter

(With a little whipped cream to hide those it tasted just fine) Grin

Byebye Hey there Scott! Jinx....... do you think my cake looked better before it was baked? Smile

I wasn't sure if you were finished posting for tonight or not so waited a few minutes then posted mine Dede. Smile
The golden colored cooked version is better. I love the aroma when it comes out of the oven so I'm not going to wait another year before making the next one.
The version with peaches sounds interesting too. Now I'm hungry for some reason. Titter

Hi EA Friends.....

Scott, Dede, and all of you....There will never be another bear like Hope. She brought out the best in people. Funny tears can still flow for her.

Yummy food....no snow here albeit it was predicted. There is, however, ice all over things and ground. That in itself is unusual. I thought about making an "iceman" but it would not
come off. Smile (And my hands were cold and Bleu wanted to go in and.......)

I "hope" some sort of vindication happens in this court hearing. Let's hope.......

Today is a work day I sure hope it is better than my last one. We were short staffed & I was taking care of 22 patients by my self. I was thanking God all night for the excellent nurses I was working with, They helped me a lot in getting everyone into bed.

Love & hugs to all
