Good Morning Friends,

Heading back out to the rivers soon to meet some friends. They come quite a distance for this annual Eagle Hunt. They will be staying in a lodge at Pere Marquette State Park. It is a three morning get together, hopefully with lots eagles. For sure we will have some good conversation, laughs and food.

Yesterday was a really good one, the eagles were quite active. Here is a link to some of the photos.

Elle and others, you are so very right Marinda's Rome trip will be an experience of a lifetime. She has been dreaming of going to Italy for a few years. Stacy and her booked her flights yesterday.
I wonder where she got her adventurous spirit from?

I'm having the same problem with......now how did i do that last time?

Linda....the manual was the first thing i perused, then again & then again.
The CD is intersting but too "pausing" it every time i tried to check out the instruction with my camera was.....a lot of stopping & starting.

I just read the IRS won't start processing tax returns until Jan. 30, due to the gov. shut down.
To think i was so proud of myself for getting it done by now, earlier than ever. Pffff.

It is hard to believe in this day and age that orcas would be captured and penned for life for any reason let alone just for two week Olympic Games entertainment. Shame on Sochi. I will not be watching. The games have become more about bigger and better opening and closing ceremonies than about the athletes and the sports events.
And as for the rhino, the proceeds of the auction are supposed to go for rhino preservation so wouldn't it be nice if the hunter had a change of heart and just donated the money and let the rhino live out his days as nature intended? Dreamer.

Still not up to snuff but can't really say why. Tummy aches and wobbles and headaches and fatigue but nothing severe. Just feel blah! Ian is not impressed. Will someone please come and take him for a walk.

Marinda will have a wonderful time Linda and she will be fine. With 5 weeks I am sure the group will be visiting many places in Italy, not just Rome. No better education than to see how others live. She is not on her own and now is the time for her to explore. Mom and Gram will survive...............

I am going to see if I can fix some 'puter problems and if not I will have to call our resident professional. Hopefully when he's not in the middle of baking.

"The smallest full moon of 2014 rises in the night sky tonight (Jan. 15), and there's some interesting science behind the lunar sight.

Two years ago, there was a great flurry in the media about a so-called "Supermoon," which was to occur on March 19, 2011. Supermoon was a term invented by astrologer Richard Nolle many years earlier to refer to the coincidence between two astronomical events: a full moon and lunar perigee, when the moon is at its closest point to Earth. A "Minimoon," like the one rising this week, is a full moon at apogee, or its farthest point from the planet."
