SATURDAY, MAY 7, 2011
8:20 a.m.
Parents did a switch. I believe it was Dad who left and Mom who arrived but I didn't get a good look at her "necklace".
Both eggs appear to be fine.

Dad arrives but Mom isn't giving up her spot on the nest. Dad stands on the rim waiting.
8:04 am
Dad is still on the rim.

JKR...Nice updating and pics There could be another egg today, but maybe not until tomorrow. I always like to see the last egg early, better for the nestlings.

4:59 pm
It is pouring rain with hail mixed. Poor Mom is in "mombrella" position keeping her eggs warm and dry.
The weather was overcast earlier and the nest sticks were somewhat dried out and then this deluge moved in.

Jazzel, I'd love to believe she'd lay another egg today but she'll probably wait until tomorrow afternoon when I'm gone to work. But then again, I'm glad she's holding off today because this weather is anything but favourable to be sitting upright delivering an egg. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny.

5:20 am
The rain has finally let up.
Dad popped in for only a moment then flew off again. He didn't bring any food and Mom wasn't about to get up to let him have a turn on the nest.
It appears that I'm better at catching parts of him flying off than I am catching him arriving.

MONDAY, MAY 9, 2011
7:28 am
Parents switched
Dad and Mom were both on the nest when I turned on the camera. From all appearances it looked like Dad who flew off leaving Mom on the nest and he was standing over the eggs keeping them out of view.
7:29 am
Mom turns around enough to reveal that there are still two eggs.
