I noticed that mom is not quite covering the egg with her body at 9:44pm. Is there a reason for this or do you think that she just doesn't know? I wonder what effect this might have on the egg. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I logged on just in time to see the first egg of the season at White Rock, the only nest I monitor due to the wonderful cameras and night vision. I did have problems with password and had to create a new user. I have not seen the chat available. Has that been discontinued?

10:11pm......:hello:Hello Tina.......I see you are here too. I am getting the same s'cap as you....Mom seems to be asleep standing up and the egg is exposed in front of her. Do you know if there is a reason for that? I think I read something about that at another nest site. They said that it is a way of keeping the hatching dates closer together so that the chicks are not so far apart. Is that silly?? True?? Does anyone know?

Quick note: I was on the ground from 6-7pm and did observe a "shift change" between Ma and Pa by examining my photos. Doubtlessly the cameras in the nest are the best and cannot be matched from the ground - but for "wide field" observation, the ground is better. If anyone is interested in me posting these in the other forum, I can do so, although I feel you may all be saturated by today's wonderful events.
