JudyB, Did you just take that s'cap off my desktop? Rolling on floor laughing You beat me to it. Titter

Looks like we did miss an egg, PattiO. Her brood patch is right up next to the tree; hope we will be able to see the egg.

Thank you for the nesting info, crtzm!

10:21 am, Now she's hiding her head behind the tree limb.

Mom flew up to the balcony limb for a few, then away. Dad rolled the eggs and settled-in.

I'm afraid there's been too much happening lately for me to spend any time witth this cam - but WillPatt from the Maine forum reported that he thought they laid a second egg March 16, around 9 pm.

And CLC from the Maine forum has a video of the laying of the first egg on March 13 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNxgn5zTv0E

Not expecting a third egg here - but if there is to be one, it would most likely be today or tomorrow.

We have a bobble!

I haven't looked in on this nest for several days, so don't know when the chick hatched - today is day 38 for the first egg, so probably within the last couple of days. Today is day 35 for the second egg, so there could be a second chick at any time now.

Added -
Just checked the Maine Window-on-Wildlife forum, and PattiO reported seeing the chick on April 18, which would be day 36. Thanks, Patti! Smile
